The dream I had last night? Iapos;m toying with turning it into a plot idea for the third book of the Orpheus Sang trilogy. The Tale of Scheherazade (the first book), is about the passing of the title Scheherazade to the next one (this one is surprisingly a guy instead of a girl). The Scheherazade is the story teller that reminds leaders of failures and teaches them humility.
Orpheus Sang is about the guy destined to be the next Orpheus- a Bard or song-mage who tells the stories of victories, but itapos;s more about the girl who takes over being Queen of a nation in the world of Fairy Tales because the old one sucked.
Thereapos;s a side story called Eating Crow, which is about a fairy tale where a girl who was cursed that when she spoke a sentence she lost the emotion associated with it in the shape of a crow. The Crows use the basic idea of selkies- they lose their skin, theyapos;re your slave. This Crow is Anger. Itapos;s about how they get his skin back, she regains her voice (to a degree), and thereapos;s a hot magician in there somewhere. There should be more hot magicians.
So OS and ToS needed a third to finish it out and now I have it. There is a "prophecy" about someone who will save the world or destroy it (Well, isnapos;t that convenient). The FMCapos;s mother was supposed to be it, but she broke the rules and got knocked up, so her daughter inherited the prophecy. Somehow, the new Scheherazade and Nomiki of Orpheus Sang get called into this and shit happens and she resets time which effectively destroys the world.
I have gotten way too much use out of the "Sleep is for the weak" tag.
